My penpal in Saskatchewan sent me this fantastic card and clipping this week. We’ve been talking about life in our respective parts of the country and she did a stellar job of carrying the harvesting theme throughout. A town near Saskatoon just claimed the unofficial world record for most combines harvesting in a single field.

Only in Canada.

Or Ireland. The Irish broke a record two months ago with 208 combines but this year’s record in Saskatchewan saw 249 combines all travelling at a stately 1.5 mph for 12 minutes.

I can’t remember when I last saw a combine in action. Might’ve been when I was in Moose Jaw, Sask for Jen’s prairie wedding.
