It’s not snail mail but it’s a hair more personal than a Dear Donor email.

It’s the e-letter.

It’s usually a PDF attachment within an email and it’s often prefaced by a bit of personal copy that has been typed into the body of the email.

It doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies the way an actual posted letter would but I’m grateful for the acknowledgement. Considering there are several wedding gifts I’ve purchased over the years for which I’ve received no thank you, this is actually quite a nice gesture. And let’s face it, their funds really are best spent supporting mums in Uganda who are living with HIV and AIDS.
